Before the 6th student protest in Tirana begins, the sidewalks of the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard have been removed with an excavator. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure, as these slabs were used to throw stones at institutions or police forces.
City workers came out early in the morning and are removing all the paving stones from the sidewalks so that protesters will not be able to pick up stones during the rally.
We remind you that today is the sixth day of the violent protest, which was launched by students, who are demanding better conditions in universities and better opportunities for employment and life.
