In a response to followers on Truth Social, President Trump has stated that Chris LaCivita is his outside consultant and does not work for him. President Trump said he would immediately fire his advisers, Chris LaCivita and James Blair "if there is a conflict," following a New York Times report that the two political operatives had visited the Bosnian territory of Republika Srpska.
“Chris LaCivita and James Blair are outside consultants. They do not work for me, except as outside consultants. They likely have many clients, but you would have to ask them about that. They are allowed to work for others, as are all consultants in Washington, D.C. I have no idea who else they work for, but on second thought I will ask them and, if there is a conflict, I will fire them, immediately! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The New York Times reported on Tuesday that LaCivita and Blair had visited the territory in Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead of elections there on Sunday. Trump had appointed the two to run campaign operations ahead of the U.S. midterm elections on Nov. 3.
