How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.

The student protest in Vlora has been accompanied by another incident, following the intervention of police forces inside the premises of "Ismail Qemali" University.

A group of protesting students have entered the premises of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, following the student revolt that has spread across the country for several days.

But the police intervention has created tensions, as officers have formed a barricade to impede the movement of students, attempting to remove them from the faculty premises.

The presence of police forces inside the university and the attempt to remove students is an unprecedented action, at a time when protests against Edi Rama's government are continuing in several cities across the country.
