How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.

SERIOUS SCENES/ Inhumane treatment at the police station for arrested protesters

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has published several images showing the treatment of several young people arrested in protest at Tirana police stations.

"Grave scenes inside the police stations! This is inhumane treatment. This is a serious crime!"

"I call on child protection organizations and the Albanian Helsinki Committee to urgently intervene to document the way high school students and students are being treated in police stations," Bardhi writes.

Later, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, published shocking images showing arrested students lying on the ground in the police station.

Berisha denounces "collective torture" against arrested students, accusing the government of inhumane treatment of protesters.

"Horror scene. Collective torture of students arrested in drug police stations! The true face of the godfather's narco-state! Monstrous crime!", writes Berisha. ©LAPSI.al
