Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has called for a political solution to the tense situation in the country, stating that the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama is necessary to restore social peace. In a reaction on social media, Tabaku accused the government of deepening the conflict between citizens, businesses and the police, instead of responding to the concerns of students.
She also linked the situation to economic difficulties, raising concerns about the state of Albanian businesses and entrepreneurs. According to Tabaku, the government is responsible for the closure of businesses and the worsening economic conditions for local entrepreneurship.
"It's been the third day that the prime minister, like a spoon, comes out at dawn and then disappears and talks about burning down businesses. Those who have burned down businesses and devastated Albania are there today, barely holding on to power. Albania needs a new social peace, it needs a political solution, it needs the departure of Edi Rama. These are the demands of the students, these are the demands of business. Those who are crying crocodile tears today, as if they feel sorry for business, have devastated local businesses. They have introduced 18 custom laws, imposed VAT on these small businesses, closed them down en masse and forced them to emigrate," said Tabaku.
