How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.

The first reaction comes from Kosovo: In Tirana, the foundations of Edi

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri, has reacted to the situation created during the protests in Tirana, describing it as a sign of the shake-up of Prime Minister Edi Rama's regime.

Through a public response, Tahiri has condemned the violence against protesters, youth and citizens, while using strong political tones against Rama's government. According to her, recent developments show that the foundations of this regime are shaking and that the country is moving towards political change.

"Tirana in flames and the tyranny of Edi Rama's autocratic regime - shocking violence against protesters, youth and citizens, the foundations of this regime are shaking, change is coming, resignation has no alternative and will be the shameful end of a regime," writes Edita Tahiri in her reaction.

The statement by the former Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo comes in a tense political climate in Albania, following the protests and clashes of recent days in Tirana.
