Berisha me shqiptarët në Amerikë: Diaspora në Shtetet e

Kryetari i Partisë Demokratike, Sali Berisha, zhvilloi këtë të diel një takim me shqiptarët që jetojnë në Shtetet e Bashkuara, në New Jersey.

Berisha u prit nga mbështetës të shumtë, të cilët u ngritën në këmbë në momentin që ai hyri në sallë. Gjatë pritjes u dëgjuan thirrje në mbështetje të tij dhe kundër kryeministrit Edi Rama.

Në fjalën e mbajtur para të pranishmëve, Berisha falënderoi komunitetin shqiptaro-amerikan për pritjen dhe vlerësoi rolin e diasporës në zhvillimet politike dhe kombëtare të Shqipërisë dhe Kosovës.

Ai kujtoi edhe vizitën e tij të parë në Shtetet e Bashkuara, në mars të vitit 1991, të cilën e cilësoi si një nga udhëtimet më emocionuese të jetës së tij.

“Diaspora shqiptare në Shtetet e Bashkuara është fati i bardhë, fati i mirë i kombit shqiptar”, u shpreh Berisha gjatë takimit.

Kreu i PD-së ndodhet në SHBA për një vizitë disa ditore. Sipas njoftimit, ai është ftuar nga Partia Republikane dhe pritet të marrë pjesë në Konventën Kombëtare që zhvillohet më 9 dhe 10 shtator.
