Grenell: Kurti should dismantle The Hague, there are crazy left-wing judges

President Donald Trump's envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell, reacted sharply after the Specialized Chambers' decision for Hashim Thaçi, calling the sentence "scandalous" and demanding the closure of the Special Court.

"The sentence announced by the Hague Tribunal against Hashim Thaçi for a war waged 25 years ago is scandalous. No one is safe from these international courts, where academic elites make political decisions. These three judges and the American prosecutor are left-wing lunatics. They clearly did not listen to Bill Clinton's advisors, who made it clear that Thaçi was not leading the war.

"All of these courts must be defunded immediately. The Department of Justice and Attorney General Todd Blanche must act quickly. Americans are paying for these political prosecutions and this must end. Albin Kurti must also act quickly to disband this foreign court. MPs must work with Kurti to make this happen. Kosovo does not need a court in the Netherlands," Grenell wrote.

He then reacted to the statement of Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, who demanded respect for the Hague ruling on the KLA leaders.

Grenell said that Europe must reform its institutions and policies, adding that these radical courts must be funded immediately.

"No. Six years in prison for something you say happened 25 years ago is shameful. Europe needs to reform its institutions and its policies. This is not justice; it is elite activism. It is yet another stain on Europe. Funding for these radical courts must be stopped immediately," Grenell wrote on X. /LAPSI.al

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
