Arlind Qori from the protest: The Albanian people should rise up together with

The leader of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, has reacted after clashes between students and police forces during today's protest in front of the Ministry of Education in Tirana.

In a video message from the protest, Qori accused the government of denying young people prospects in Albania and now using violence against them.

"This government party - which has left young people without a future, which is expelling them from the country as if we were in a state of war - also has the shamelessness to beat up students," declared Qori.

He called on citizens to join the students in protesting against the government.

"The entire Albanian people must stand up together with the students. Today or never! Today, yes!" says the leader of the Together Movement. Watch the video below:

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
