Two education unions in Albania have called for solidarity with the national student protest to be held on Saturday, October 24. The Independent Education Union of Albania and the United Albanian Education Union have appealed to teachers, students and lecturers to join the rally in defense of their rights.
SPASH has announced that it will participate in the protest, which starts at 11:00 in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Then, at 14:00, union representatives will join students at the Ministry of Education to express support for their demands.
SBASH has also expressed solidarity with the students and the Union of University Employees of Albania, calling on teachers to join the national protest. According to SBASH, attacks on teachers violate not only their dignity, but also education and the future of the country. The union underlines that at this moment more unity and a common voice against injustice are needed.
