Robbery with violence in Tirana, young man arrested

A 25-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana Police, suspected of forcibly stealing a 17-year-old's wallet, threatening him with a knife and causing bodily harm.

The incident was reported on October 20, 2026 by the minor, who stated that he was attacked on "Hoxha Tasim" Street by an unknown person at that moment.

Regarding a video published on social networks, in which it is alleged that the Police services have intervened during the night in a family's apartment, we clarify that:

On 20.10.2026, a minor citizen, 17 years old, reported that, on "Hoxha Tasim" street, an unknown citizen, under the threat of a cutting tool (knife), had forcibly stolen his wallet, causing bodily harm.

As a result of rapid investigative actions, the services of Police Commissariat No. 1 have made it possible to identify and detain, on the evening of 22.10.2026, citizen FM, 25 years old, for the criminal offense of "Theft by force".

Following procedural actions, the Police services conducted a search of this citizen's apartment.

At the time when the Police services were about to search the apartment, the 25-year-old's father and sister opposed the Police officers, with the aim of obstructing them from searching the apartment.

Following the actions, citizens FM and MM were prosecuted at large for the criminal offenses of "Obstructing the discovery of the truth" and "Opposing a public order police officer."

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
