BREAKING NEWS/ Urgent call for evacuation of Himara residents

The situation in Himara continues to be serious, where the fire, which is advancing rapidly, has engulfed and burned down a house, while the flames are also endangering 40 other homes in the area.

Mayor Vangjel Tavo has just called for immediate evacuation of homes in endangered areas. 

The situation is difficult for firefighters, who continue to be on the ground, working to extinguish and isolate the flames, in order to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Meanwhile, residents are appealing for help as the flames approach other houses in the city. 

Due to the rapid spread of the flames and the wind, the situation has worsened significantly, while the evacuation of residents, as well as tourists staying in Himara hotels, has begun. The wind and difficult terrain are favoring the spread of the flames, making the intervention of the firefighting forces even more difficult. /LAPSI.al
