How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

"He took responsibility for the brutality", former SP MP: We should

Former Socialist Party MP, Marjana Koceku, has reacted harshly after episodes of police violence against students, describing them as unacceptable and demanding the resignation of Interior Minister, Ervin Demo.

In her reaction, Koceku states that the violence exercised has crossed all limits, while raising serious accusations against some of the police officers, who, according to her, were recruited from the ranks of crime.

Focusing on students, the former MP emphasizes that they represent one of the most vulnerable segments of society and that the way they have been treated during the protest is, according to her, brutal.

Koceku links political responsibility for the event to the Minister of Interior, Ervin Demo, who he claims was placed in that position to undertake such a level of brutality.

At the end of her reaction, the former SP MP demands that the minister's resignation be requested immediately, considering this a responsibility that must be borne after the reported episodes of violence against students.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
