US Ambassador Eric Wendt is holding an introductory meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama, following the start of his mission in Albania. On Saturday, September 26, Wendt presented his credentials to President Bajram Begaj.

Eric Wendt is the 11th ambassador of the United States of America to our country since 1991, when diplomatic relations were reestablished between the two countries. He succeeds Yuri Kim in this position, while since 2023 the US embassy has been led by Nancy VanHorn as chargé d'affaires.
