A serious incident occurred this evening in Tirana, where a person committed suicide in a car. Police say that a citizen with the initials Ismet Habili was found dead inside the "Vlovo" type vehicle.
"On 20.10.2026, at around 20:20, the Operations Room received a report of a vehicle accident on "Mihal Popi" street, in the "1 Maji" block. Immediately after receiving the report, the Police services went to the scene, where they found inside the "Volvo" type vehicle, citizen IH, without signs of life, who is suspected of having been killed with a firearm." The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is carrying out procedural actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident ," the preliminary police announcement states.
It was later revealed that the victim is suspected of having committed suicide and that his last phone call was with his wife.
