"I'm not staying here anymore": who is JJ Gabriel, the

At the age of 15, Joseph Junior Andreou Gabriel has already become a Manchester United sensation, without having played a single first-team match. He has already played at Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup, scoring a beautiful and very personal goal, but this could be his only appearance at the Theatre of Dreams. The striker is one of the most important talents to emerge from Carrington in recent years, but has officially asked to leave the club and terminate his contract.

A decision that came as a surprise to the English leaders, who did not expect this dissatisfaction from the young player. He has chosen to leave, despite being the main talent of Manchester United U18, protagonist also in the Youth League with a hat-trick in the first match, but his case now risks becoming very complicated.

Why is JJ Gabriel considered so strong?

Born in London in October 2010, Gabriel joined Manchester United's academy when he was just 11 years old: since then he has rapidly accelerated his pace, regularly playing against boys older than him. Last season he scored 26 goals in 29 games and won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award, which the club gives to the best young player in its academy. Gabriel is an attacking forward who stands out above all for his speed, technique and ability in one-on-one duels. He is able to outrun the opponent, attack spaces and find the goal with great consistency. It is this combination, together with the early maturity with which he is facing categories higher than his age, that has prompted comparisons with Argentine Lionel Messi and the nickname "Kid Messi".

His rise to prominence has been impressive and at the age of 15 his path to the first team seemed set. All that was needed was a little more patience, but any plans were thwarted after he requested a move away. Gabriel was one step away from becoming the youngest ever debutant for Manchester United after coming on as a substitute for the Carabao Cup tie against Brighton, but the moment of glory never came.

Request to leave United

The Red Devils were set to accelerate his progression to the first team, but the young striker suddenly submitted a formal request to cancel his registration and become a free agent, leaving the club stunned. United are not sure why, but according to the Times there has been a rift in the relationship between Gabriel's family and the club: his father, former Ireland international Joe O'Cearuill, recently deleted club-related content from his social media accounts, but the situation remains unclear.

The striker has a deal with the English club until June 2027, but he still cannot sign a professional contract. He has to wait another year and it is not certain that United will let him leave so easily, but in the meantime, big clubs have already moved, ready to welcome him: City, Chelsea, Arsenal and of course Real Madrid and Barcelona, the destinations that now seem the most likely to welcome the young talent, who has already become an issue before he turns 16.

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
