Berisha: Emotions should not affect the stability of Kosovo

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisham, described the conviction of former KLA leaders by the Hague Tribunal as unfair and undeserved.

In a statement, at the start of the meeting of the Democratic parliamentary group, Berisha stated that the sentence was not based on evidence but on statements from official Belgrade.

He further called for restraint on this difficult day.

"Emotions should not affect the order, peace and stability of Kosovo," said Berisha.

Excerpt from the statement

We condemn with the greatest force all the interventions of Belgrade and others that have been made in this court.

It was no coincidence today, the chairman of the Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee, the subcommittee on Europe, Congressman Keith Self, demanded that that court not have political influences.

In fact, strong political influences were proven.
And, the accusation was formulated on the basis of the function they had.
But this has never happened.

They were representatives and leaders of the KLA, but they have made an extraordinary contribution to protecting the defenseless civilian population from the Serbian genocide.

The Serbian genocide, which Edi Rama denies.
According to him, Operation Horseshoe, the Racak Massacre and other massacres were not genocide.
Vučić's brother denies it.

Also, our call is for restraint and emotions should not in any way affect the order, peace, and stability of Kosovo.

This would be unacceptable and condemnable.

Kosovo, its state, its institutions, no one has the right to take action against them, much less against citizens of any nationality there, absolutely, categorically, for an unjust decision of a court.

Therefore, I also appeal to the Albanians in The Hague that this is not the way to confront.
The way is through the appeal, but also through other institutions.

It must be seen because this court has major problems with its own law in the first place.

Therefore, this must be seen in international institutions, this entire cadre that Edi Rama went by helicopter to impose the court on them.
The court should have been established, but the court is being established according to recognized international standards.

Once again, we express our full solidarity with the citizens of Kosovo, with the families of former political leaders and the political leaders of Kosovo on this difficult day.
But on this day, emotions can never threaten order, security, peace, the security of citizens and institutions or order in Kosovo.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
