EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has shared a message about Albania's journey towards the European Union.
Speaking to Albanian media while in Montenegro, where he participated in the 13th Berlin Process Summit, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present.
Kos stated that these are crucial moments for Albania, but maintaining this progress is important.
According to the Commissioner, Albania will soon receive another payment under the Growth Plan.
Regarding the situation with protests in Tirana, Kos shared a comment, underlining that dialogue is the only way to address society's dissatisfaction.
"These are crucial moments for Albania to maintain the pace on its path towards the EU. The country has implemented reforms at a high pace. We expect that several more negotiation chapters will be closed by the end of the year. Albania will soon receive another payment under the Growth Plan. Maintaining this progress requires the country to come together. The only way forward is dialogue, where everyone sits at the table to address the grievances of society. We want to see Albania continue to make significant progress towards EU membership, ensuring that the benefits reach the entire society", said Kos.
