Protests continue on the boulevard, calls for Rama's resignation

Protesters gathered again this evening on the boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Unlike the previous nine days, the situation this evening appears calmer. But there have also been some moments of tension.

Some young protesters present on the “Deshmorët e Kombit” boulevard have broken a flower vase. There are also protesters throwing stones and hard objects towards the police water truck.

Meanwhile, some people nearby dance and sing the New Year's song.

This is the tenth day of youth resistance against the "Rama" government

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
