Uncle raped a 34-year-old woman, Zegjinja reacts: She told me she wanted to stay

MP Zegjine Caushi has reacted after the serious incident that occurred in the village of Suk 2 in Roskovec, where her uncle, 52-year-old Bledar Bakaj, injured 67-year-old Enver Gremaj with a sickle in the latter's apartment.

The daughter of the injured 67-year-old, MG, claimed that she was raped by Zegjine Caushi's uncle, after he had promised her a job, with the help of the socialist MP.

Meanwhile, Caushi has clarified what he knew about the relationship between Bledar Bakaj and MG.

Through a post on social media, Caushi says that he met the two by chance at the beginning of June, as he passed by their apartment, where about 10-15 other people were also present.

According to her, at that meeting MG introduced herself as Bledari's cohabitant and stated that she had taken into account the situation in which he lived, despite her father's opposition.

The MP emphasizes that she stayed for about 10 minutes and then left due to her commitments, while later she saw photos of the couple together on social media.

Caushi underlines that he was informed about the incident through the media, just like public opinion, and emphasizes that he strongly condemns any form of violence, regardless of who committed it.

She demands that the case be treated seriously, also from a psychological perspective for both people, and that law enforcement agencies do their job, with the aim of stopping the escalation of the conflict.

Reaction of MP Zegjine Caushi:

Referring to the event that occurred in the village of Suk 2 and published by the media on 14.09.2026 and 15.09.2026, I would like to clarify public opinion regarding the information provided so far.

My mother's family consists of 11 children: 9 sisters and 2 brothers. They all have their own families, jobs, and lives, so naturally we don't have constant, uninterrupted contact with each other.

I met my mother's brother, Bledar Bakaj, together with Mrs. MG, by chance after a meeting I had in that area, at the beginning of June. I passed by the apartment and saw relatives and neighbors, about 10-15 people, in the yard of the apartment. I even met a cousin there, whom M. G considered to be a close person from his mother's tribe.

As soon as I entered the yard, I saw M, who introduced herself to me as Bledari's roommate. I obviously congratulated them on their relationship, as the neighbors who were present were also doing the same, and then, like me, my cousin and I turned to her: "Have you made up your minds? Will you get married?"

Merita Gremaj said: "Yes, yes, I have taken into account the conditions in which Bledari lives, even though his father doesn't like it..."

"Don't cause us any problems," I said after her words, referring to my father's consent. The matter was resolved with laughter and congratulations from the people present.

I stayed for about 10 minutes and moved on to my own commitments, the others continued to stay.

After a few days, I saw photos of them together on social media, smiling and holding flowers.

This is all the information I had and have regarding their relationship.

I was informed about this event through the media, just like the public opinion.

I want to say it very clearly: I strongly condemn any form of VIOLENCE, regardless of WHO it is perpetrated by.

At the same time, I think this is a case that should be treated seriously and carefully, also from a psychological perspective, for both people, with the aim of finding the right solution and preventing any further escalation.

For the rest, law enforcement agencies must do their job.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
