The perfect start to the championship continues for Manchester City, who beat Sunderland 5-3 in the 5th week of the Premier League and thus remain the only team with full points in the standings. Thanks to goals from Enzo Fernandez, Cherki, Semenyo (two goals) and Haaland, as well as after the defeat that Arsenal suffered yesterday at Brighton, the “Sky Blues” take the sole lead of the classification, rising to +3 points precisely over the “Gunners”. Iraola is also happy, with Isak: his Liverpool defeats Bournemouth 1-0, exactly on the day of the Basque coach's return to the “Vitality Stadium”.
MANCHESTER CITY-SUNDERLAND 5-3
The Etihad was the scene of the Manchester City-Sunderland clash, a match that was set in motion in the 9th minute, when Enzo Fernandez surprised Roefs directly from the free kick: the Argentine noticed that the opposing goalkeeper was out of position and beat him at the near post, thus finding his first goal with the “Sky Blues” shirt, despite the shot coming from a rather prone position. The “Black Cats” reaction was however immediate: the former Roma player, Le Fée, invented the action and Brobbey finished it, beating Donnarumma with the outside of his right foot for the 1-1 goal in the 12th minute.

For the umpteenth time, an extraordinary Brobbey leads Sunderland's reaction, narrowing the gap in the 59th minute, with the goal that also secures his personal hat-trick. The inevitable Haaland thinks of finally sealing the match in the 83rd minute, with his 169th goal in the City shirt. Italian Maresca's team thus climbs to 15 points: sole leader of the standings and +3 over Arsenal.
