The Small and Medium Business Association has called on all Albanian entrepreneurs to join the national student protest, which will take place tomorrow, Saturday. Representatives of the association are asking that businesses close their doors during the protest hours, in solidarity with the young people and citizens who have taken to the streets. In its statement, the association emphasizes that the current situation is not just a student issue, but directly affects the future of Albanian businesses, families and children.
In addition to participating in the protest, the Small and Medium Business Association is calling on entrepreneurs who are able to provide necessary products and services to the protesters during the rally. According to its representatives, the current state of business and society requires a civic response and a greater commitment of entrepreneurs in support of the students. The call comes at a time when student protests against the government have been ongoing for days, while young people are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"We call on every entrepreneur to stand in solidarity and join the students, civil society and Albanian citizens participating in these protests. This is not just an issue of today. It is an issue that is directly related to the future of our business, our families and our children. We believe that the current situation of business and society requires civic response, solidarity and responsibility.
Therefore, once again, we call on all Albanian businesses to join tomorrow, Saturday, with the students, with the protesting citizens. We call on all businesses that have the opportunity to support the protesters with necessary products and services during the protest. We also call on businesses to lower their shutters during the designated protest hours as a sign of solidarity with the Albanian protesters,” said the head of Small and Medium-sized Businesses.
