A fire has engulfed the area north of the village of Karjan, in Gjirokastra. After receiving the notification, a fire truck with an intervention group headed to the scene. The flames had engulfed bushes, thorns and trees, reaching considerable proportions.
Firefighters intervened immediately, isolating the fires and then enabling the complete extinguishing of the fire, which prevented its spread. There were no injuries or material damage from the fire. In the meantime, work is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of the fire.
