KPP puts the RTSH signal at risk. Along with it, the police radios and SHISH antennas

The Public Procurement Commission has been blocking a vital procedure for strategic institutions for three months. Since June 23, the Albanian Radio and Television has submitted the tender dossier for the maintenance of antennas, following complaints from the two losing operators, and still today it has not received a response that would pave the way for the normal continuation of the public broadcaster's work.

According to dosja.al journalists, the tender itself, including the preparation of the documentation, lasted 3 months: from March 26 to June 26. The procedure was announced, the 3 competitors were registered, the documentation and offer were submitted, the winner was announced, the complaints were administered and forwarded to the KPP, which has the role of judge when public procurements have complaints.

The scandal in this case has to do with the fact that the law on the Public Prosecution Service itself has given this institution 20-30 days to respond to the subjects. So if the procedure was initiated on June 26, the maximum deadline should have been July 26. Even if the Public Prosecution Service does not have the expertise and would have to request it from a third party, the law still obliges it to provide a response within 30 days.

But the KPP has neither explained the reasons for the delay nor is it taking the trouble to look at the file, although the antennas of the police radios, the Information Service, and Albcontrol have also been placed on the antenna towers of the Public Radio and Television.

If during this time a problem were to occur, without a winner yet for maintenance, air traffic would remain uncontrolled and flights would be canceled until the 5 members of the KPP woke up from their sleep and opened the file. Not to mention the importance of national security that the SHISH and Police antennas have. All this because the KPP violates the law and no one holds them accountable.

The reasons for this unjustifiable delay, which may have consequences from day to day that affect everything from the public interest to national security, are either the irresponsibility of KPP officials or narrow vested interests according to the now consolidated practice of Rilinda leaders. Ismail Shehu, who is currently the head of the Public Procurement Commission, was appointed to this position with a vote in the Assembly that risked the division of the socialist group. He is said to have reached this high position thanks to the support of a figure like Belinda Balluku.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
