A 21-year-old Azerbaijani man has been arrested in Shkodra after being caught transporting 6 foreign migrants in a vehicle, who were suspected of illegally crossing the border into Montenegro. Police have announced that the 21-year-old was caught on the Vukpalaj highway.

VKM Shkodër/ The operation codenamed "Transit 5" is finalized. Another case of providing assistance for illegal border crossing is cracked. A 21-year-old from Azerbaijan is arrested in flagrante delicto, after he was caught transporting 6 third-country nationals in a vehicle, who intended to illegally cross into Montenegro.
The services of the Shkodra Local Directorate for Border and Migration, following the controls to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance for illegal border crossing, organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Transit 5".
As a result of the operation, the services of the Border Police and Migration Station Bajzë arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen FB, 21 years old, resident of Zagatala, Azerbaijan. This citizen was caught on the motorway in Vukpalaj, near the border with Montenegro, transporting 6 third-country nationals in a “Hyundai” vehicle, who were suspected of illegally crossing the state border with Montenegro. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action.
