Vučić: I will not run away and I will not pack my bags

“Nuk kemi rezultate përfundimtare. Shumë do të befasohen dhe do ta kuptoni se sa shumë kanë gënjyer disa dhe çfarë kanë sajuar. Dua t’ju informoj se lista e studentëve bllokues ka fituar. Ata do të kenë nga 135 deri në 140 mandate, ndërsa ne kemi rreth 105”, tha Vuçiç

Vučić: I will not run away and I will not pack my bags

Aleksandar Vučić, whose name heads the electoral list "Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia", declared tonight that this list lost in today's early parliamentary elections and that the "Student List" won. From the headquarters of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Vučić stated that they do not yet have the final results, but that, based on the stratified sample, "it is clear that they have lost these elections".

"We do not have final results. Many will be surprised and you will understand how much some have lied and what they have fabricated. I want to inform you that the list of blocking students has won. They will have between 135 and 140 seats, while we have about 105," Vučić said.

As he added, the Alliance of Hungarians of Vojvodina is also expected to enter the parliament and one mandate is for the Albanian party in the Presevo Valley. "The Hungarians of Vojvodina have entered with three mandates and the Albanians with one mandate, as well as, I believe, the SDA, but don't take it for granted. So, we have somewhere around 1,720,000 votes. I'm telling you, based on the sample, this is completely insignificant. They have around 2,200,000," Vučić said.

Addressing all those who had said he would escape, Vučić declared that everything they had said was a lie. "Since they said that someone would escape, that someone would pack their bags, that someone was afraid of them, that someone would hide, they lied about everything they said. They also lied about the sound cannon, directly, of various European countries and the American deep state, the one that is against President Trump," Vučić said.

He stressed that the coalition around the SNS won wherever Serbs live in the region: in Republika Srpska, in Montenegro, in North Macedonia and everywhere else. “We won in Kosovo among Serbs, and I know that for many people tonight it is difficult,” Vučić stressed. “We will fight and show what the opposition is, proud of everything we have done.”

"He added that he is proud of everything his ruling party has done.

"Some businessmen, some people will leave us now, but our structure is very stable. We are very united, very strong; we have learned from being in the opposition. Most of us have spent more time in the opposition than in the government. As for the claims that we will not accept it, that I will announce other results, I am telling you in advance," Vučić said.

Vučić was among the first to arrive at the election headquarters of this list today, followed by the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, Miloš Vučević, Ana Brnabić, Nemanja Starović, Marko Đurić and other party officials and supporters.

Early parliamentary elections in Serbia ended at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, and the counting of votes to determine the new composition of the Parliament has begun. The electoral process was characterized by high turnout, significantly higher than in the 2023 elections, as well as reports of incidents and irregularities in several cities.

The Republican Election Commission (RIC) announced that the official turnout as of 6:00 PM was 64.89%, compared to 51.93% at the same time during the December 2023 parliamentary elections.

6,451,292 citizens were eligible to vote in the elections, while 18 electoral lists, with a total of 2,418 candidates, competed for 250 seats in the Parliament of Serbia.

High turnout was recorded in several major cities. By 6:00 p.m., 68.97% of voters had voted in Novi Sad, and 69.09% in Niš.

However, election day was also accompanied by reports of irregularities.

Observers reported receiving over 300 reports of possible irregularities, mainly related to photographing ballots, problems with voter lists, family or group voting, and obstruction of observers.

In Novi Sad, suspicions of vote-buying and parallel voter lists were reported. Police intervened in several areas, while the city's Election Commission confirmed that it had received complaints of irregularities, which were being investigated. In Dljevac, voting was temporarily suspended after, according to election authorities, a citizen attempted to vote using multiple ID cards. Police intervened and the process resumed. /Euronews Albania

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.
