Voting centers for the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Serbia have closed at 8:00 PM, paving the way for the vote counting process.
According to official data, 6,451,292 citizens were eligible to vote in these elections, who could vote in 8,392 polling stations across the country.
By 7:00 p.m., voter turnout was 67.5%, one of the highest in recent years.
After the centers closed, vote counting has begun, and the results are expected to show the new composition of parliament.
However, citizens who were inside the polling centers or in line in front of them at 8:00 PM will be allowed to vote even after the official end of the hours.
Serbian citizens had the opportunity to choose between 18 electoral lists, which included a total of 2,418 candidates for 250 seats in the Parliament of Serbia.
