Strong tensions have been registered in the center of Tirana, where Molotov cocktails were thrown at State Police forces, during today's protest against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The situation is tense in the "Skënderbej" square area, where police officers have blocked all entrances and exits, restricting movement in this part of the capital.
Numerous police forces have been deployed in the area, while the square has been surrounded by officers as part of security measures.
The throwing of Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officers marks another incident during the October 25 protest, which was accompanied by clashes between demonstrators and police.
Earlier, tensions were also recorded in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where police intervened to disperse the protesters, conducted escorts and used pepper spray.
Today's protest marks the 13th day of the student revolt, as participants continue to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. /BW
