An elderly citizen was hit by a vehicle this morning on the Fier-Patos road, near the former car park in Fier. According to sources, a “Volkswagen Passat” vehicle with license plates AB 342 GR hit the elderly woman, who was standing on the side of the road.
Immediately after the accident, the driver of the vehicle stopped, while the elderly woman was transported to the Emergency Room of the Fier Regional Hospital, where she is receiving the necessary medical assistance. According to preliminary information from the white shirts, the elderly woman is out of danger.
A police patrol has also arrived at the scene of the accident, which has intervened to manage vehicle traffic, due to the high flow of movements on this road axis. Meanwhile, the investigation group is working to clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident.
