The State Police has taken measures to guarantee order and security before, during and after the match between Albania and Belarus, which will take place tonight at the "Air Albania" stadium, at 20:45.

Due to the influx of fans, from 5:00 PM until the end of the match there will be vehicle traffic restrictions on several road axes near the stadium.

The roads that will be blocked are:

“Dervish Hima” Street, near the US Embassy;

“Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;

At “Willson” Square, where traffic will be diverted towards “Sami Frashëri” Street, shortly before the end of the match. Meanwhile, Elbasani Street, Ring Road and “Bajram Curri” Boulevard will be free for vehicle traffic.

Police announcement:

State Police/Plan of measures to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the football match between the teams of Albania and Belarus, which will take place tonight, at 8:45 PM, at the "Air Albania" stadium.

The plan of measures foresees the tasks that all structures will perform, drawing on positive experience in planning, organizing and managing the public order and security situation during international activities.

For the smooth running of this activity, as well as to facilitate vehicle traffic in the city of Tirana, on 26.09.2026, from 17:00 until the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police, will apply vehicle traffic restrictions on several road axes near the stadium.

Roads that will be blocked from 17:00 until the end of the match:

- “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard, from the “Laguna” fast food, near the bridge of the former Hotel Dajti;

-“Papa John Paul II” Street, at the intersection of RTSH;

-“Dervish Hima” Street, near the US Embassy;

-“Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;

-“Themistokl Gërmenji” Street, at the entrance;

In accordance with the plan of measures, State Police officers will exercise thorough control over fans before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the entry into the stadium of banners with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers, cosmetic tools/products and other hard objects that are dangerous to the life and health of participants.

We ask for the understanding of fans to show up at the stadium entrance, starting at 6:30 PM, as, due to the influx of fans, shortly before the start of the match, they may miss the opportunity to enter the stadium.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.

Andi Bushati: Why stones and Molotov cocktails became inevitable

This youth revolt has had a great merit. It made known to the general public the most criminal side of this regime that had until now been preserved in the most secretive recesses. If the extremely peaceful revolution of the flamingos showed us that this government was no longer popular, its radical epilogue, with stones and Molotov cocktails, is serving to bring to light that the autocrat is capable of using any means to stay in power.
