Protesters have set fire to one of the entrances to the Ministry of Agriculture building. Tensions have spread to several points in the capital. Earlier, garbage bins were burned at the “21 December” intersection, causing temporary traffic jams.
Groups of protesters have dispersed near the Tirana Municipality, the General Directorate of Police, "Skënderbej" Square and the Pyramid area.
Police advanced towards the Pyramid to disperse the protesters, using tear gas and water cannon. According to reports from the ground, rubber bullets were also used.
After the intervention, part of the crowd retreated towards Rinia Park and to the other side of the Lana River. During the police intervention, there were also reports of photojournalists, cameramen and journalists who were following the developments on the ground being pushed back.
