Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted harshly to the Democratic Party, accusing it of inciting and organizing violence during the recent protests in Tirana.
In a public reaction, Rama describes the DP as the "mother of violence", claiming that behind the episodes of destruction and clashes in the capital are masked individuals, who, according to him, have posed as students, as well as other groups of violent individuals.
"Here is the mother of violence, the Democratic Party, which after burning and destroying with the masks of alleged 'students' together with ANTIFAN and other Tirana violators, came out today for the authorship of urban terror...", Rama writes.
Through this reaction, the head of government directly links the Democratic Party to the acts of violence and damage caused during the protests, accusing the opposition of seeking to take political responsibility for what he describes as "urban terror."
