Erjon Vishkull's injury/ Edi Rama justifies police violence: How can

Prime Minister Edi Rama has issued a statement regarding the eye injury of Erjon Vishkulli, the young protester who lost his eye to police rubber bullets used in the protest. In his message, Rama blames the opposition that supported the protests, blames political analysts who comment on the youth revolt, and the protesters themselves, but there is not a word about police brutality, not a word about the illegal beatings in the streets and the dangerous use of rubber bullet weapons by irresponsible police. Instead, he has justified the violent response to the protesters by raising the question: How can any possible injury be avoided if violence dictates the nature of a protest?!

Edi Rama's full reaction

Participating in violent protests is certainly dangerous for both the perpetrators themselves and those around them, especially since it is now known worldwide that these protests are also the work of a maniacal thug with a history of arson and bloodshed.

I feel very sorry when anyone gets physically hurt, even a violent protester, but how can any possible injury be avoided if violence dictates the nature of a protest?!

This is a rhetorical question and the injury of the boy from Elbasan should be an alarm bell for everyone, but above all for the instigators of violence who propagate from corrupt television screens and from their social mirrors or, worse still, who pay for the meat of all kinds of individuals, from criminals, to ignorant boys, to minors🤡

After personally ensuring the boy's treatment at the best hospital in Italy last night, as well as his transport on a chartered medical plane, I say to all those who are furiously abusing his injured eye to incite further violence:

You are the darkness that blinded that boy!

You are the fingers and nails of the hand of evil that has haunted Albania since 1912, closing its eyes every time this country sees the light!

But this time you are lost, because the light of Albania is today much greater than the darkness and you are less and less, which is why you are violating, burning and destroying with the inconsolable hatred of that hand, but reminding Albanians better than ever who you are.

And Albanians will not forgive them. Wait and see.

How Rama is leading the country towards civil strife

Insisting on violence, on arming civilians, on paying police officers as if they were mercenaries, alone does not produce peace. Edi Rama's fear of where he will end up when he is no longer prime minister does not have to become Albania's nightmare.
