The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that the Democrats' support for the student protest is unlimited. During an interview with Klan News, he said that the DP structures and the youth forum have been part of the protest from the very beginning and will remain there until the end, emphasizing that this support does not weaken the student movement, but gives it more strength.
In his speech, he announced that the DP has announced two principles for its engagement that guarantee the support of students with all possibilities, as well as their protection. He also accused Prime Minister Rama's supporters of trying to weaken the protest through calls that equate the responsibility of the government with that of the opposition, describing this as an attempt to deceive public opinion.
'On the contrary! I have supported the protest according to the rules that they (the students) defined themselves. We have declared two principles: the first principle is to support the students with our potential, the second principle: to protect the students. We are at the origin of this protest. We have the structures of the youth forum that have been there since the first minute and they will be there until the end. Edi Rama's phalanxes, who are there to 'kill' the protest, come up with the thesis and the call 'Rama in prison', 'Berisha in prison', there is no greater deception than saying that the position and the opposition are the same,' Berisha stressed.
