Exit polls for Tuesday's parliamentary elections in Israel have been released. According to these polls, the party of incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has won 50 seats in parliament, while his rival, Gadi Eisenkot, has 52 seats. 18 seats go to Israeli-Palestinian parties.
Shortly before the polls closed at 10:00 p.m. (21:00 Albanian time), authorities rejected a request from Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party to extend voting hours.
Voter turnout as of 8 p.m. (7 a.m. in Albania) reached 74.3%, the highest level recorded for decades at this point since the start of counting, the Central Election Commission reported. This figure already exceeds the overall turnout of 70.6% recorded in the 2022 elections. / LAPSI.al
