The State Police has expressed regret for the injury of the 28-year-old, wishing him a speedy recovery, as well as the citizens, journalists and police officers who were injured during the protests in the capital.
Meanwhile, another case reported on News24 last night has led to the suspension of an officer from the "Eagle" Special Force.
This concerns Inspector AK, who, according to the Police report, has been found to have exceeded his powers and failed to respect the principle of proportionality while performing his duties.
An administrative investigation has been launched against the officer by the Directorate of Professional Standards.
