Businessman Behgjet Pacolli appeared this Monday at the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), where he testified for about seven hours regarding the conflict over the ownership of the Vlora International Airport. After leaving SPAK, Pacolli stated that he had presented the prosecutors with facts and documents regarding the interventions that he considers illegal in the ownership structure of the concessionaire company, the disregard for court decisions and the violation of private property.
"I am pleased that we were able to bring before the competent body the full truth about the illegal interventions in the ownership structure, the disregard for court decisions and the violation of private property," Pacolli writes after leaving SPAK.
His testimony comes after the criminal complaint filed by the MABCO company regarding the registration at the National Business Center of the transfer of 47% of the concessionaire company's quotas in favor of 2A Group, an action that the Swiss investor considers illegal. Pacolli expressed confidence that SPAK will act independently to clarify the matter, following several complaints that his lawyers have addressed to the special prosecution.
My testimony and complaints to SPAK!
Today I had the opportunity to appear for about 7 hours before the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), where I presented in detail the facts, documents and circumstances of what has happened and is happening with the Vlora International Airport.
I appreciate this opportunity and am pleased that we were able to bring before the competent body the full truth about the illegal interference in the ownership structure, the disregard for court decisions, and the violation of private property.
I have not lost hope that justice is being done in Albania. I believe that the justice institutions will act independently and will guarantee respect for the law.
We will continue to fully cooperate with SPAK and every competent institution, until the truth is fully clarified and our legal rights are protected.
No one is above the law. Private property and court decisions must be respected.
